So this Research design> Factorial design is way over due, which is so unlike me.... but my mind has been cluddered with bahumbug and I have its been hard to understand the assignment. So first it was challenging coming up with 5 experiments and then conducting the hypotheses bacame the obsticle, but I used google since the book didnt answer my questions and I found this site that, grounded me, simplified it and made it dummy clear to me, so I just have to share it.
In summary:
- Independent variables answer the question "What do I change?"
- Dependent variables answer the question "What do I observe?"
- Controlled variables answer the question "What do I keep the same?"
- Extraneous variables answer the question "What uninteresting variables might mediate the effect of the IV on the DV?"
